MBBS, PGCertMedEd, FHEA, FRCA, FFICM
Since I was appointed a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia in March 2017, I have developed a diverse and forward-thinking clinical practice, underpinned by a commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and system improvement. My subspecialty interests include Regional Anaesthesia and Point-Of-Care Ultrasound, both of which enhance my approach to precision medicine and procedural safety.
Education is a central pillar of my professional ethos. I develop and deliver bespoke CPD-accredited medical courses – nationally and internationally – focused on critical care medicine, anaesthesia, and procedural skills.
These programmes are grounded in simulation-based learning, reflective practice, and educational theory, equipping clinicians with the tools to deliver safe, effective care in challenging environments.
I hold several strategic leadership roles within the NHS, including:
- Clinical Governance Lead, ensuring robust safety standards and accountability across services.
- Lead for Quality Improvement and Clinical Guidelines, promoting evidence-based practice and service innovation.
- Medical Simulation Lead, designing immersive, scenario-based training to enhance clinical decision-making and team performance.
- Clinical Lead for Burns and Airway Management, overseeing complex care pathways and multidisciplinary coordination in high-acuity settings.
